This necklace is made from real butterfly wings - a Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly (black morph), Papilio glaucus. Pendant is reversible so front or back of wing is visible.
Moths & butterflies are beautiful creatures symbolizing peace, metamorphosis and eternal life. These unusual pieces of jewelry make unique gifts and are a great conversation piece.
All wings are recycled from finished scientific projects, roadkill, or were otherwise found dead. If you choose, you can give these wings a new home and new purpose.
No butterflies were harmed to make these necklaces.
