Chainmail is usually associated with medieval times and body armor. However, the same techniques use to make those heavy protective coverings can also be used to make beautiful and extremely intricate jewelry pieces: Chainmaille Jewelry. This is not a new idea. Chainmaille styled jewelry was around centuries ago and makes lovely period pieces perfect accompanying renaissance outfits. This style of jewelry was also common in Viking communities and makes a great gift for those of Scandinavian decent or interested in Viking culture. Either way, these pieces make a unique addition to any jewelry collection. Part of my Scandinavian Inspired line, these creations are my modern interpretation of the traditional style. Each metal ring piece has been open and closed by my Scandinavian-American hand to create these woven metal designs.
